Merry Christmas from BART

This afternoon on BART, I was engrossed in my game of Tetris when out of the corner of my eye, I saw two boys sit down on the floor - a sure-fire way to grab this germ phobe's attention.  Lucky for me, I had my iphone out and it was already pointed right in their direction.  The BART train was serenaded by a man and his two sons to The Beatles' "Norwegian Wood."  According to the father, he had just lost his job and they were trying to raise money for Christmas.  And they were good.  They got quite a few tips and I even saw some 20s handed over to them.  They were walking through the cars, and I was more than a little tempted to follow.

  1. wow, you're really bringing back the bart memories for me...growing up in Fremont, I watched them build the "end" line in our backyard and my BF and I used to ride it all over the Bay Area for thirty five cents (get on, ride allover, get off at Union City...on again, cheap sight seeing!)

  3. Wow, not everyone gets a concert on their way to work! ;D I hope their story is true. It always breaks my heart when they make this stuff up just for money.
